As a member of the TOMS Artist Collective, I was invited to participate in this year’s Pipeline To A Cure, a big fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation held in Huntington Beach, CA. I customized some TOMS items to be sold at the auction, with the proceeds going to the CFF to assist in their efforts to eradicate this disease. Here’s a sneak peek!
Yesterday I was at the Sports Basement at Crissy Field in San Francisco for the final TOMS Style Your Sole event of 2011. We had a fairly good showing and did some work to support a little extra giving this holiday season! The Golden Gate Bridge and SF city-scapes were the popular theme yesterday.
I regularly do “Style Your Sole” events in the San Francisco Bay Area for TOMS shoes. TOMS hires artists like me to come to the events and customize people’s TOMS that they purchase the day of the event. For every pair purchased, TOMS gives a pair to a kid who needs shoes somewhere: One for One.
These events are always so much fun! I meet so many different people and I love working with everyone to figure out what image(s) they want me to paint to make their shoes one-of-a-kind. Here are a few examples of some of the designs I’ve done on people’s shoes.
